PSA: Great new cajun poboy place in Houston

Next time you are in the mood for cajun in Houston head to BB's on Montrose & Westheimer(near Niko Nikos). Great catfish and roast beef po boys and fries. Just and good or better than Pappadeux's or Rajun Cajun and cheaper. Great service too.

Also, open to 4 AM so you can grub good after clubbin.

BB's is indeed pretty good. I've been to two other places recently that had great Cajun/Creole. First, Danton's Seafood (4611 Montrose) has the best gumbo I've had on this side of the Sabine. It was great. Also, Cafe Orleans Express (11611 Katy Freeway) has some excellent po-boys as well.

We enjoy Mardis Gras on Durham, just south of the tracks.

regarding Mardi Gras on Durham... Floyd the guy who had the place before moved his restaurant down to Clear Lake - I-45/Nasa Rd One.

bularry -- Danton's has a nice oyster bar with some very fresh gulf oysters. They'll even show you the date on the bag if you ask how long ago they were in the water.

went Sat. night and had some oysters at Danton's. really good. also split a shrimp po boy with the wife and had some onion rings. all were excellent.

we're gonna go back sometime soon and take my oldest son, he loves seafood.

no, did not try it. I'll give it a go next time. Oysters were mainly what we were hunting.
