You'll also need to get a Thermometer. Not a big deal. It's nice to have one attached on top. Or you could go the probe route.
Brinkman water pan (larger than the one that comes with it), ~$4, ordered mine from Bass Pro Shop. Useful if you want to do an overnight brisket without worrying about the water level.
Agreed that's a bargain. You almost never see them for less than $199.
And as far as thermometers go I picked up a universal replacement thermometer @ Academy for $5. Wasn't too difficult to drill through the top & install it.
Great deal- go for it- you'll be very happy. BassPro pan is a great add-on- as is the thermometer from Academy.
Academy has a couple that work- I actually used one of the very cheap ones for a long time- that I just left in one of the top vent holes.
Finally picked up a $8- screw type from Academy and drilled a hole in the lid (using a step bit)- really easy to do, but you have to be careful not to chip the metal coating.
I've got that exact same thermometer. Installed it on both my Weber bullet & my 22 1/2" kettle. I didn't use a step bit drill just first put some tape around the spot, drilled a pilot, then carefully used the correct sized bit (want to say it was 1/4"). I also touched up the spot w/ some black high heat spray paint that I'd had left over from a fireplace project. Looks & works great.
I have a Maverick remote thermometer. I love that thing. Since I am on the second floor of my condo and my WSM is by the pool, I can just walk out my front door and check the smoker and food temp. If your in a house, you could probably sit it on the coffee table.
