PS3 - HDMI Cable Question

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I did a search and did not see this question asked. Do I have to buy the Sony brand PS3 HDMI cable for best results or does a place like radio shack sell a cheaper one? I'm assuming that the regular HDMI cable that I use for my cable box to the TV will not work.

I am looking at buying a PS3 and would like to know my total costs so I can pitch this purchase to my wife! (The Sony cable is like $80) For some reason she thinks this is a waste of money. Silly woman!

If you have a 1080p television then youre going to want to get a 1.3 HDMI I think....someone correct me if I am wrong with the numbers. You can probably find one online for about $10 or you can go to the store and buy a cheap one for $30. It doesnt matter if it is a Sony brand HDMI.

No, she's talking about the actual playstation. She has no idea what an HDMI cord is! Like I said she's silly.

Monoprice is awesome. Great customer service and fast shipping. I've also used Blue Jeans Cable and they are wonderful also. I used Monoprice for my video cables and Blue Jeans for my audio cables, both are awesome.
