Proud of Tech--No courtstorming

They wanted to, but I believe Bobby spread the word that he did not want it. Bit by bit that fanbase is slowly getting it. They'll still have their indiscretions, but I never minded Gap Kid or drunk guy yelling at Stoops from the second deck.

Nice win Tech!!!

i think tech will start being a good team if their fans actually show interest in going to the games.

In Tech's case they beat aggy twice last year and probably have a winning record against them the past ten years. They are aggy's #1 rival.

By not rushing the court they show that it's not such a big deal to beat the number 9 team in the country when this might be the worst team Knight's had at Tech. Its also good beasketball etiquette to now rush the court showing your team doesn't need the fan instant gratification. Its like Darrell Royal telling Earl to act like he's been there before when scoring a touchdown.

I guess rushing the court would have made aggy more upset though. They don't know any better.

Exactly. They only beat Aggy; if it were some better team then maybe...though you know the General is going to be tackling those he can catch.

Hook'em!!!

walking out like you expected to do it is so much more cool.

That whole no-dogpile thing we have going in baseball makes me very proud.

Aggy storms courts that nobody is playing on.

That "all business" attitude is just silly- no offense. There are a whole lot more important things to worry about than whatever child's game you're competing in at the moment. If you're not going to enjoy yourself, you're wasting your time.

I can respect tough competition, but don't come up to me with a scowl on your face because you just dug in and stopped the shortstop from turning a double play, tough guy. Baseball players are the absolute worst when it comes to this ****.

I do not condone courtstorming nor do I bash it when other fans do it. Fans are fans, some want to be cool and reserved and others are
FAN-atics.

I wonder if we had played UCLA at the drum and the way we won, if our fans would have stormed the court??
I was told by my friend in Dallas that he had six couple over to view the game and when Damion dunked the ball and the buzzer sounded they started to yell and hug each other and run around the house for 10 minutes yelling at the top of lungs.
With 11-12 k in the drum I suspect that Tx. fans might have stormed the court, maybe not ??

Congrats to Coach Knight, Texas Tech and the Raider Nation. I remember when he took the job and thinking that he was not going to be good for the Big 12. Of course that was before they started carrying body bags out of Waco. I am personally glad that he is out on the plains and in this league.

wait, aggy stormed the court last night? i left with the bar with :30 to go.

I also do not condone court storming, but I can see certain circumstances where it is acceptable, ie K-State's win over Kansas (biggest rival, 25 years of losing at home, #2, and undefeated). But Tech in every sport, like Baylor football, seems to storm the court for every win. Last year they stormed the court at the end of the team scrimmage, or so I heard.
