You might think UNLV was a lock, having an rpi in the top 30 and 24 wins, but I would note the Mountain West Conference as a whole had only two OOC wins over rpi top 55 teams going into yesterday's games--BYU beat Louisville and New Mexico beat Texas Tech.

If beating Texas Tech was your conference's second best claim to glory, your conference may not deserve two bids.

I thought it was a bad call, but was it any worse than what happened to ASU? That goes the other way.

It better be incompetence, that's all I can say.

Look at CUSA -- if anything, the refs should have come to the rescue of both UAB and UH... they didn't.

Certainly an iffy foul call - but not outrageous. Hell, I might have called the foul myself. You hate to see it in the last seconds, but it was really close.
