I just got a letter from Williamson Co. saying that I have a property tax dispute hearing on July 15th.
The problem is that I didn't file a protest!
What's up with this? Did someone file it in my name?
I do happen to live in a brand new neighborhood (The Ranch at Brushy Creek), and my house is only a 1.5 years old. My house appraised for $284K...but I'm pretty sure that houses in my section aren't going for nearly that much...in fact similar houses are selling for 245K to 270K
