Problem with Gateway flatscreen monitor

Whenever I hook this monitor up and turn the computer on it comes up for about a half second and then blinks off. It doesnt matter which computer I hook it up to.

Is this a problem that is fixable? Where could I take it to get it fixed? Gateway is giving me the run-around so to clarify -- where could I take it other than Gateway?

If you power on the display but have it disconnected from a computer does it have any kind of self test image?

You would normally get some message and some colored bars and a check signal cable message or something.

see if another monitor cable helps. Is it under warranty?

i assume you are using a DVI cable to hook it up? There are different flavors of DVI cables

check out the link and make sure you have the right connector.

I have a 9 year old monitor and sometimes it takes a while for it to come on when the computer boots up.
