Problem w/ Honda Overheating

My 95 accord has been overheating recently. I believe it has to do with a/c fan not functioning properly, I've replaced the fuse 3 times and they burn out immediately when the a/c kicks on. Yesterday I was taking it to a friends house for him to take a look at it, on the way the car overheated and quit leaving a large pool of radiator fluid on the ground. I let it cool off and added some water to try to get it started again but to no avail. I will need to have it towed to a repair shop (accuratehorn?). My question is after it cooled down and I added more fluid why would it not start? Is there a sensor that could have gone out when radiator overheats?

Hopefully you didn't seize the engine. Make sure the AC is off when trying to start it, IS your belt intact? That might account for the cooling problem. Sounds like a problem for accurate horn

I hppe the puddle of coolant wasn;t fromt he block cracking or other horror.

yes, you could have a bad problem. The original overheating was probably the fan, or a slow coolant leak or something like that. But if you continue to drive around like that, the head will warp, and the head gasket starts leaking.
If it leaks enough for liquid coolant to be sitiing inside the cylinders, it can ruin the engine.
Look around the outside at the plastic pieces attached to the engine-the timing belt covers, etc. Are any of them melted in any places? If so, the only cure will be a used engine, unfortunately.
It is much better to fix the overheating as soon as it starts than risk ruining the engine-towing is not that expensive comparitively.
Of course, we would be glad to look at it-phone number is 670-1275, or pm me.
