Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 vs. FIFA '08

Has anyone played both on the 360?

I'm a soccer noob, but loved playing FIFA with my buddies in years past. I'm just wondering if the gameplay is that much better with PES like some people are saying.

I haven't played Evo since '06 for the ps2, but it was superior. More passing options and just more control options in general. Excellent system for changing how your guys overlap and defend. Also the "franchise" mode was pretty great. The only annoying thing was that they didn't have all the licenses, so the Premiership was fake names. I.e. "White Hart" instead of Tottenham, etc.

video game soccer is about as exciting as the real thing

FIFA '08 is awesome and I've heard has made up a TON of ground on the Winning Eleven franchise or whatever else was consistently thought of as being a better game.

I played the demo for FIFA 08 on ps3 because everyone said it was much improved, but I still thought it sucked. I imported PES 2008 from Europe and its ok, not as good as usual but still better than FIFA.
