How do i complete the transaction? I have never sold a car before

1. I sign over the title on the back.
2. I need to change the title registration https://vision21.txdot.gov/Vehicle/MainTransferNotification.aspx here?
3. Provide a bill of sale for the transaction signed by both the buyer and seller.

Questions
Is the bill of sale something I print up with the agreed upon sales price?
Who pays the taxes and do I include them in the bill of sale?
What is the tax rate on buying a car in a private transaction?

buyer pays the taxes when they register the car.
I'd do this at the registrar's office to make sure the title is changed from your name to their's.

6.25% tax rate. Not needed in the bill of sale.

I always have a purchase contract that says something like
1. Car is free of liens - if I own it
2. No warranties at all

I actually found a nice leagal bill of sale with an "as is" addendum and receipt from a legal website.
