A friend of mine's brother-in-law is trying to get him to invest in one of these. Basically, it they would be investing in the PICS' real estate (apartments) holding, and then the company would manage the apartments.
The BIL is telling him there's no actual ownership in the real property, and BIL would manage both the properties and the PICS.
Any thoughts on these, one way or the other, as far as security, liability concerns, etc?
