Prezel Hardy Commits to Horns

Men's squad is gonna be very dangerous next yr. With hardy/ Goodwin/ Rhodes/Stewart, we'll finally have a legit core of sprinters. They have recruited bunch of great field athletes who can win their events. They also picked up some more middle distance runners this past wknd. This team will stack up against a&m. Especially when hardy steps on board.

The women's squad had 5 recruiting athletes that came in for a visit! They are amongst the best in their respective event. Things look pretty promising for these 5 ladies!! Also there is a former recruit who's name could pop up as a longhorn again who would make the women's squad that much more dangerous immediately.

Nneka Enemkpali, who committed as a BBall player, could possibly run outdoor track. She placed Top 3 in 100m State 5A as a frosh!

Things are looking great for next yr!

Sorry, since there is no more early signing period for track, nothing is final until then.

Of the 3 guys that came: They all have solid middle distance & distance times. 800m ~ 1:51-1:52, 1600m ~ 4:20-4:25, 5000m: 15:57-16:35

Of the ladies: there was a good variety w/ jumpers, sprinters, middle distance.... 100m: ~11.5, 100H: under 14, 200m: ~ 23.5. 400m: ~52.5, HJ ~ 6.0, TJ: ~ 42, LJ: over 20, 1600m: ~5:15, 3200m ~11:05

These are their best times up til their Junior years too and lots of potential still

Many thanks for the response. Good times for those ladies in particular. Bev needs depth. Coach Thornton is getting a very good group together.
