Thanks for posting; I had no idea how much Damion had been through. He's clearly been struggling this season but it isn't due to a lack of effort. I'm guessing he'll work his way through it and get to the level we know he's capable of.

The Texas Basketball program has had a nice run of recruiting good talent along with players of great character: Durant, Augustine, James.

Amazing and very admirable story, but maybe Barnes needs to start raising his voice again.

Probably the most amazing thing Barnes has done in his tenure at UT is the recruitment of so many high character student athletes to the program. Stories like this make me prouder to be an alum than any championship ever could.

Wow. This kid has been one of my all time favorite Longhorns and that was before I even knew about what he has had to overcome. He deserves so much. An amazing role model. I hope his parents are truly the real deal now.

Ask the folks in Nacogdoches who they revere more, and I'm guessing Damion's name pops up quite a bit more than Dempsy's. And don't get me wrong, I'm a Dempsey fan, but in Nacogdoches Damion is THE man.
