PRESIDENT ROMNEY

It's not over until the election but I have been on record to say that Romney will win and win big. Even when polls had Obama up I stated to BI and a few others that didn't believe me to book mark my statement. 1) I knew when the polls show Obama winning that it really meant the race is close. History shows us that Republicans have a history of over performing and the Dems have a history of under performing. 2) I stated that Obama wouldn't be able to run from his record in a debate. I actually thought he would be a little better at spinning but I still knew he wouldn't do very well. 3) I knew the closer we get to the lection the interest in the election would be higher and I knew this wasn't good for Obama. The one liners work pretty well when people are not that interested because they aren't really paying attention. But when they start getting interested in the election they learn more info and the one liners just don't work as well. Obama has been living off the one liners for a while now. 4) No President has ever been re-elected with a a unemployment rate over 6.1 I believe. No chance in hell Obama gets elected with around 8% unemployment.

I heard and not sure where that either in American history or mondern American history that we have had a total of 69 months of uneployment over 8%. 44 of those months where while Obama was President. I think people are just getting tired of Obama blaming everyone for his failures. For those that doesn't believe this election is over..........just keep on believing that. I sure you won't be here for a while after the election. President Romney, sounds good.

I35, if Romney loses, I'm blaming you for jinxing him...and you owe me a beer for the 4 more years of frustration.

Seriously, I had high hopes until someone had to tell the pitcher he was throwing a no-hitter in the 8th.

Yep it is over, has been for a while now. Obama knows it's over, or he wouldn't have bought a house in Hawaii. Stick a fork in em, turn out the lights, let the fat lady sing. BO is nothing but a bad memory.

If your right, then its the dems turn to return the favor and say no to anything and everything that he tries to propose. No matter if it is one of the dems ideas. That will be funny

I'm sure they will be willing to compromise just as much as BO, Nancy and Harry have been. It's funny how Romney worked with a D. Legislature to pass healthcare reform in Mass. Just like BO, Nancy and Harry did.

You libs are funny.

If there is indeed a Rommney presidency, his interaction with a House whose leadership is more stridently conservative than he should prove interesting .
Even if the Senate and House are Republican, there will be plenty of checks and balances as afforded by our Constitution.

If the size of the workforce used in that calculation was the same as it was the month Obama took office, the unemployment rate would be over 11%. That is a more accurate measure.

Has a President during our lifetimes ever been re-elected when unemployment is over 11%?

Answer: No.

Mojo
You make a good point.
and I think more people understand all the numbers on the BLS data much more than they used to
mainly because so many are affected.
so many of part of the true number they don't buy that unemployment % fell because more people found jobs,

I'm laughing that Obama is telling he cult followers: "That's not the real Romney that you saw in the debate with you're own eyes. Trust me, I'm your Messiah.....you know the chosen one......the anointed one. He's the guy I've been spending millions of dollars on in an attempt of character assassination. And that wasn't the real me you saw with your own eyes. I'm not that guy that was clueless without the teleprompter and not able to defend my horrible record.

Obama loves being surrounded by his followers and teleprompters where he knows what he's going to say and that his followers will believe him.

No BO won't suck ***
but neither will Romney.

and if it is evenly handed moderating it is unlikely there could be such a dramatic change

I expect the media to come out gushing and fawning. i also expect the viewers to be able to tell the difference.

Remember this is the first time millions have seen Romeny live and not part of a 10 second biases sound bite
Obviously the liked what they saw in the first

why would anyone think Romney will be so much less knowledgeable and presidential this time?

Stay excited, guys. I'm sure Mitt appreciates it. However, all it would take is another stupid statement from Mitt or an embarrassing video coupled with at least a respectable performance by Obama, and the polls could flip.

I care about this stuff, but I don't see any reason to get worked up. You should only worry about yourself: Vote and whatever happens, happens.

Wow, a few days back the HMS Romney was sinking hopelessly. Then after the first debate, the race is tight and 'BO' is toast. If Mittens wins, y'all can kiss your jobs goodbye and learn some chinese.

Obama will take Mittens behind to the woodshed in the remaining debates. Obama/Biden 2012!

Roger35, Obama has been fired for a while. When tge left leaning polls had Ibama a slight lead I knew at that time Romney will be our next President in less than 4 weeks. He's the worst President we've ever had. You're worried about Romney giving us over to the Chinese (like Obama hasn't already), but if we keep Obama then we are Greece and we'd be begging tbe Chinese to adopt us.

Obama certainly knows about the woodshed. He has never been ahead, unless you're referring to buying a house in Hawaii?

Well, the one thing that is certain is the people predicing that this race is "over" are like the people predicting the end of the world. One day they will indeed be right. I've seen projections that Obama would win in a landslide and projections that Romney will win in a landslide. I won't believe any of it until election night or the morning after. I hope we don't have a Florida fiasco like we had in 2000. A little certainty would be nice.

Roger -

Why did Obama "let" Romney give him a historic ***-whipping in front of 65 million people last week? What is your excuse of choice? Altitude? Family problems?

The Dems have been trying to spin that the biggest issue in the debate was that Obama was off his game. BS, the most impactful thing was that Romney demonstrated clearly that all that Obama and his campaign had been saying about him was a crock. Obama's lame performance just put an exclamation point on it.

I don't see any way Obama recovers from it. He can get better in the last 2 debates, but Romney won't be worse.

Toast.
