Nomines are "student-athletes who best embody the spirit of Lily Margaret Wade according to the following criteria: game and season statistics, leadership, character, effect on their team and overall playing ability."

Three from the Big 12:
Danielle Adams--A&M
Brittney Griner--Baylor
and
Danielle Robinson

Imo, Danielle is a no brainer. Adams, okay, she fits. Griner, I think they are overlooking the character issue at this time. Maybe she will show much progress in that area during the season but, right now, I would not have put her on the list.

Maybe many realize that one mistake, granted a big one, does not make someone of poor character. She is a talented young lady and will be on every list going forward so we can boo hoo about the character issue but it's not going to change anything.
