It seems like there are quite a few newlyweds here so I thought I'd get some of your opinions on this.
I'm getting married in August, and noticed that most churches require a premarital counseling session with the officiant. However, I don't think the one that I picked does. I'd still like to do it as I think it could be very beneficial and certainly couldn't hurt. Have any of you received premarital counseling in the Austin area that you would recommend? I found a Methodist-based organization that has some workshops (New Life Institute)- does anyone have experience with this? The counseling does not necessarily need to be church/religion-based, I just thought it was a good place to start.
Advice?
