Predict Texas v.s. OU (sux)

You guys better get in on the betting action soon...

The vegas line has already gone down from Texas +2.5 to Texas +2

Watch it drop to Texas -1 by the end of the week. You can't get good payouts betting on Texas once we become the favorites.

This game will not be as close as everbody thinks.

Texas 38, OU 21

We have a much better run game than they do, and will be able to control the clock.

Our D is not great, but we will force Rattler into a couple of turnovers. He'll throw for 350 yards, but he'll also throw us a couple of picks.

I just laid down $5000 on Texas +2.5. I couldn't believe my good fortune when the betting sites had us at that number, I assumed we were going to open as maybe a 4-5 point favorite, which means I can't make that much money betting on us. I freaking love it, because I get to bet on Texas and I get a much better payout for my money too.

I'm shocked that OU is favored. They have looked much worse than we have so far.
I wouldn't bet 5 grand on Texas winning another game this year other than Kansas. Best of luck.

Baker Mayfield was a scrub, a washout who was going nowhere until Riley got him. Without Riley that punk would have gotten nowhere near the first round, much less the #1 pick.

Jalen Hurts was an Alabama cast off who was going to be a 4-6th round pick at best until Riley got him.

Even Kyler Murray upped his draft stock immensely after Riley got him. He was slated as a 3-4th rounder before the transfer.
Well, you and I disagree on this one. That's OK. For the record, I'm not saying Riley didn't help these guys. Im saying he has been very fortunate thusfar IMO to have the QBs he's had in each of the last 3 years....
Sorry, Bake may be a chump personally, but he is no chump on the field, nor was he before Riley..Same for Murray. And Hurts had already played in two NCs and guided a comeback in a playoff game against a stout UGA defense. Only left due to another NFL caliber QB being there and would have gone to the NFL whether he stayed at Bama or left for ou. I will agree Riley helps QBs, but surely you can see the very fortunate nature of Rileys last 3 years at the position. To me their last two games proves my point...They are losing games they didn't with those other, more refined QBs. Either way...probably steering off thread too far and plenty other things we can agree on these days.

Horns get the ‘W’ only if Sam is given the opportunity to run it in on First and Goal from the 1!!!

That has to be the #1 play in the Binder!

Texas squeaks out a win on a last second field goal.
Texas 41
OU 40
I think texas will lose to OSU, ISU, and K State.

We get some pressure on Rattler

The team that shows up the least scared wins. I wouldnt bet a $1 it's us...but I'm a homer, and I picked us in this one before the season -and have seen too much- but still not quite enough to change it now.

This is a must win for both teams. It is a lot more important for Herman than it is for Riley.
Special Teams have been a flop for Texas-Edge OU
Running Backs-Edge OU
D Line-Edge Texas (ossai makes the difference)
Secondary-Even
QBack-Edge Texas Sam is great(however Rattler has the quickest feet i have seen since Murray)
Receivers-Edge OU
O-Line-Even
Coaching-No contest-OU by a mile
Desire-OU
Intangibles-OU,OU will not lose 3 in a row

OU-45
TX-34

You left out one thing:
Refs - big advantage OU

I'm not an excuse maker, but that is reality. But also is reality is which team has been taught how to execute the little things and not beat themselves. Another big advantage OU.

Texas 58
Poupheads 57

Game goes to 6 overtimes and OU fails a two point conversion try, not because of our defense but because the OU running back slips and falls down on his own.

Disagree about the WRs, OL, and secondary. Texas is better in all of those. OU's secondary has been the worst in the country over the last 2 weeks.

Texas isn't great either, but we're clearly better than OU.

OUs games haven't been that close, it's deceptive. Texas on the other hand was just about guaranteed to win until the fumble at the goal line. The OU losses haven't been nearly that close.

Many of you haven't watched the OU games this year. They are completely inept on defense. Texas on the other hand has made some stops, even though they bend too much and break 2-3 times per dame.

OU's defense breaks for big plays at least 7-8 times per game.

OU - 42
Texas Pretenders - 34
OU will give up points but so will the pretenders.
Rat Snake gets more experienced with every game. His INT vs KSU that killed their chances was bad, but his INT vs ISU was due to a DB getting away with PI or holding. The kid has a great arm and he can run well enough to give the pretenders a fit. He will not be pressured like he was last week, and WRs will get open. 42 points may be giving Herman's defense too much credit. The pretenders will have their minds on their post game Eyes of Texas walk off..... OU may win huge if they get off to a quick start.

OU / Texas Predictions - DirtBurglars

Weird year, both us and the Sooners have a lot of folks predicting our own team to lose:
Ossai and Graham pressure Rattler all day. And the D can’t pressure or contain Ehlinger like last year
Texas 44 OU 24
Texas 56-17
the RRR is usually won on two things: rushing yards and turnover battle. I don’t see OU winning either one of those.

My heart always says OU but brain is easily picking texas. Might look similar to 2005 out there.
Texas by 2 touchdowns. We’re on a downward spiral.
My concern is that the usual passion for the RRS will be missing from OU because I simply can’t envision this group of players having passion for anything.
54-12 Texas. They blitz and confuse ratter. Run game continues to stall and defense can’t stop anything. Only positive is OU fans won’t have to clutch their pearls because Texas fans can’t celebrate in the midway this year.
I almost always think we're going to win except for during the dark days of Schnelly / Blake. I'm just not feeling it this year. Texas 48 OU 27
Teas 55- OU 17. This year may be the start of another Blake like era in OU football.
Texas 65 OU 17

Prepare for a score more like a basketball game - not much defense. But the Horns get the edge at QB, and it's just enough to win the game.

HornFans be careful. A Texas fan left two TX/TCU tickets in the front seat. Someone broke in and left four more. :smh:

Riley will out prepare, out scheme and out coach Tommy Terrific. Defense still can’t tackle and offense will have too many brain farts and stupid drive killing penalties.

OU 48
Texas 38

I've observed ou in 2 games this season and they have struggled and looked bad at times... trying to find their Mojo but so are the Horns.

Overall the Horns have more talent, but will TH have a good game plan, will the refs call holding often enough on ou OL, will the players show up with some real passion and a will to win?

I think Sam may be the difference plus some timely D and a Special Teams play. Horns win but prolly pretty close...

Something like 38-34.

I have seen nothing to give me any confidence in this team, or in Herman’s ability to coach them or make in-game decisions. I also think that OU will be the more motivated team. Finally, I’m afraid that Riley may be the better coach.

OU - 45
TX - 31

42-38 Texas.
Please call more running plays Yurcich! Texas can be pretty dominant running the ball but don’t call those plays enough.
