Predict Horns vs WVU

I dont know if Sam is the future but I think he can get us a win in West Va.
31 Horns-24 WVa In OT with Sam
 
8-5 prediction is with Sam playing extensive downs. Nothing against Shane but I think we'll need Sam's mobility minus turnovers in overtime.
 
I think we have at least a decent shot. WV no better on offense than USC and we held them to 17 in regulation on the road.
 
With Shane and new O line--Horns 35 wvu 27
With Sam and new O line--Horns 28 wvu 27

without new O line-- Shane-- Horns Horns 24 wvu 27
without new O line-- Sam-- Horns 20 wvu 27

Sam is turnover prone, doesn't read Defenses; doesn't pass the ball as well as Shane. O line cannot block well enough to get a decent run game to help Sam out enough to get the V.

Our O line is not good enough to help us out score wvu at their home.

Plus, our D is wounded without Hill. wvu can score. This game is not lining up well. Hope I'm wrong about this.

From every objective perspective I just don't see us winning this game. And only if the defense plays great can we keep it close. That said, if Ehlinger is healthy enough and starts, we have a chance. But I'm afraid that this one won't be pretty.

I fear that we are on the verge of a collapse. Hope I'm wrong.

UPDATE:

If -- as is being reported now -- Connor WIlliams plays, it's a whole new ballgame. With that caveat and if Ehlinger starts, I'll go with a close win: 35-28.

I haven't seen much of the hillbillies this year ... but I don't read where they are as good as in previous years, themselves ... so I think this is a close one and will actually come-down to an attempted/made field goal or two.

What madcow said. I will go with 27 - 17 WVU

I do not think WVU will be so generous giving away points and I would be surprised if we could score more than three times on our own.
 
This defense has held much better offenses than they are facing Saturday to fewer points than I am seeing in some of these predictions.

I have to revise my prediction if this weather forecast is accurate. I think the hillbillies from the movie "Deliverance" will win 3-0 in OT. I assume they have a kicker.

beware of betting lines that look out of whack; and overreaction Mondays when your team looked either pathetic or unbeatable the previous Saturday.

I am hoping the time off helped Sam and he wont throw a pick 6 in the final minute going in for the winning TD.
 
This is the team's best and realistic chance for becoming bowl eligible. Will they throw in the towel for the season? I say, no.
