These have everything to do with Sherman/DeRuyter and nothing to do with the SEC.

It's kind of sad that in this age of immediacy, kids just up and quit when something doesn't pan out the way they expect. If A&M already had a blockbuster guy in place (Smith, Strong, Sumlin), the chances that these kids all leave is slim.

But since Aggie sadness = allsome, I'm kind of torn.

The recruits have established a personal relationship with the coaches who recruited them. The head coach, athletic director and possibly many or all of the assistant coaches may be gone before next year.
This may well cause a period of adjustment to occur, and A&M may take some time to regroup and land on its feet. They may lose more recruits, change systems, need to recruit to that system, whatever.
And it is always possible to hire someone who is less effective than the last coach.
The changes A&M is making may pay off in the long run, but they may not. They could be in for a long period of losing, firing coaches, reduced recruiting effectiveness, and disgruntled fans questioning the moves made this year.
They are really rolling the dice here, and it could come up snake eyes.
And I won't feel the least bit disappointed if that happens.

With all the crowing aggy did about their soon-to-improve recruiting 'cause of their SEC move, it's funny that we're the ones pulling recruits from the South. LOL
