Pre Theater Dining NYC

Going to see Wicked for the gf's birthday. I wanted to get some recommendations for dinner beforehand from some of our NYC based posters. Don't want to break the bank, but obviously willing to spend some money. Thanks.

Rosie O'Grady's up on 52nd and 7th is right near Wicked. I'm not going to claim it is the top steak house in the city or anything, but I've eaten there twice and it was pretty good, and reasonably priced given the food and location.

i always love the olive garden NYC rec

Roxy's Deli. Hot Pastrami, fresh mozzerella, side of fries, coleslaw and fresh pickles. Sharing $3 extra.

Then spend half the musical on the toilet.

P.S. Saw Wicked this last weekend and I have to admit that I enjoyed it. Wife and I are going back to NYC on Friday and plan to see Phantom Sat.

Angus McIndoe is my favorite. Kind of small (maybe even "cramped" if you had a party of 6 or more, but perfect for a couple.

Not too casual, not too formal. Just a damn good place.
