Pre-Game Steakhouse

I'm looking for a nice steakhouse in Austin relatively close to the stadium to have a nice lunch before the game tomorrow. I'm looking for a Fine Dining steakhouse, in the class of a Sullivans or Ruth's Chris. Pretty much everyone I can find doesn't open until 5pm, and closes around 11pm, which means it conflicts with tailgating and the game.

Does anyone have any suggested places to look at?

That's a tough one....not aware of any "classic" steakhouses that are open in the middle of the day.

However, you might try Bartlett's (which is the old Houston's). It's about the next best thing to the true high-end steakhouse you are looking for.

Also, might be a stretch to say it is "relatively close" to DKR.....but it might be your best bet.

Go to Perla's on south congress right across from continental club. its a seafood place but good and they have a steak on the menu.
