Pratt to LSU

Dont know if this has been posted but it is up on espn.
Dexter Pratt (ATH) but should play RB in college (6-2, 220) has given his verbal to LSU.

I think with us getting Whaley and with Richardson he wasnt someone that was coming to us. After initial interest and offer, i think him not coming to Austin had been a foregone conclusion.

Kind of thought that was going to happen. With Shephard and Pratt LSU now has the top 2 athletes in the state.

I'd say with 17 verbals from 2009 players just two months past the signing of 2008 players, Mack is slipping a bit.

Whaley is a much better college power back than Pratt. I think we made the right choice on the RB. McFarland will ultimately end up at Texas. Mama loves Texas and what mama wants mama gets.

LSU may have a lead for McFarland now, that could change any day.

If LSU gets McFarland and Davenport that could be the best d line class in the history of recruiting.

Funny how everyone is now saying LSU leads for McFarland but the only site reporting this is LSU pay sites. McFarland himself has never come out and said LSU leads. He didn't even go to their Spring game this weekend to attend the Texas Relays here in Austin. That should be a sign right there.

you are absolutely correct. i think it will be a battle that i hope we win. but i doubt more than 2 people on this board even know what he is thinking. hope we get JM and Howell, both are very very good.

Pratt's never leaned toward Texas, so his verbal to the Tigers falls in the "dog bites man" category. Nobody but McFarland, and probably his mama, know which way he's leaning right now, and anybody saying otherwise from Baton Rouge is talking out of the back of their front.
