Prank gone bad Murray State

So the QB for Murray State is obviously an idiot, hes bet $20 that he wont steal a campus cop's ticket book.

Kid takes the book and runs.... in the process he "pushed" the cop and stole the ticket book.

Now hes facing charges of 10 FREAKING years in jail??? (yes I realize he wouldn't spend that much time in jail).

Holy cow, yeah the kid screwed up, and he needs some discipline, but the charges carry 10 freaking years?????

Whatever happened to saying sorry, paying a fine and doing 200 hours of community service???

cmon Sooner, read the article before posting.

He DID outrun the cop. Someone ratted him out and he got arrested/turned himself in.
 
Hope the $20 covered his bail costs.

Seriously, he'll probably never serve time for this. Hopefully that'll teach him at least two important life lessons: one, don't shove cops. two, don't take bets from morons just to prove how cool you are.
 
the guy who qb'd grapevine to a state champ. in 1996, my senior year there, played at murray state. unrelated, but i figured he'd get more offers since i think he was the 4A offensive POY for the state.
