Per a poster on another site:

Per 24/7, DT Jordan Elliott of Houston Westside will be in Austin this weekend for the K-State game (aggy Perroni just CB'd Elliott to Texas btw) :D.

24/7 reporting DT Kendell Jones of Killeen Shoemaker will be in Austin on November 7th for the Kansas game.

Higdon's All-Access chat highlights:

- Texas coaches attended the games of Jeffrey McCulloch, Devwah Whaley, Dontavious Jackson, and Patrick Hudson last night among others.

- Collin Johnson and Tren'Davian Dickson will be instant impact playmakers next year.

- Texas feels good with WR Tren'Davian Dickson, so stop worrying about it (lol)

- At safety recruiting, Brandon Jones and Deontay Anderson are 1A and 1A. Extenuating circumstances (which Higdon won't get into) mean we're not so interested in Eric Monroe anymore.

- S Chris Brown is NOT a take at this point in time.

- Texas can have S Christian Wallace anytime they want. His offer is still not commitable.

- Eric Cuffee, Brandon Jones, and Deontay Anderson are the only three DBs that can pick up the phone right now and commit to Texas if they wanted to. Other targets Texas is taking a wait-and-see approach on.

- DT Shavar Manuel is all Florida, and if by some miracle he doesn't go there, than LSU.

- No point in paying attention to DT Keyshon Camp or LB David Reese until they actually follow through and visit Texas. One visit is usually not enough to secure a commitment.

- Not much to say about DE Andrew Fitzgerald until after he makes his OV.

- Likes Texas' chances with DT De'Andre Chrismas-Giles.

- No 2016 commitments are expected this week.

- More 2016 offers are coming.

- Texas will have to fight off the best teams in the country for 2017 DE Lagaryonn Carson down the stretch. No question.

DEVONAIRE CLARINGTON

Without going into too much detail, this one is done. Clarington's most recent ACT score was also flagged yet again. I expect him to end up at school in the Southeast somewhere.

RANDOM NOTES

ATH Lil' Jordan Humphrey, Carrol (Southlake, TX) - 2016: The Texas offer loved the OU game, calling it "electric." He'll visit Texas soon but didn't specify. I see no way he doesn't end up in the class.

OT Kellen Diesch, Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, TX) - 2016: UT isn't out of this yet. He's expected to visit again at some point. He was offered long ago then committed to Arkansas. A&M thinks they're the team to beat but Diesch seems to be a bit more measured this go around. His recruitment is big because I'm not as certain of Texas landing Jean Delance as some others.

Oh yeah, don't be surprised if Texas actually pursues Diesch's teammate, ATH Brandon Bowen. Bowen is a TE/DE candidate. He's highly rated but Texas has shown microscopic interest since "offering." Good chance that changes. Right now Oregon is far and away his leader.

TE Jamal Pettigrew, St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA) - 2016: Pettigrew's right there with Kaden Smith atop UT's TE board. Like Smith, Pettigrew is a long shot. With Smith committed to Stanford and Pettigrew committed to LSU, Jeff Traylor has his work cut out for him. Pettigrew tells me he still plans on taking an official visit to Texas but isn't sure of the exact date. Texas can sell usage and playing time and that's what Pettigrew is looking for.

LB Jeffrey McCulloch, Davis (Aldine, TX) - 2016: Last week I stated he'd take an OV somewhere this weekend but he didn't want to tell me until his parents purchased airfare. The family will be going to Notre Dame. While academics are big to McCulloch - and his mother - we don't expect Notre Dame to become a major factor. Still an A&M/Texas battle. Ask me Saturday night if I would have preferred if he attended the A&M/Alabama game.

DT Jordan Elliott, Westside (Houston, TX) - 2016: Apparently it was discussed on an Aggie board that Elliott might have some qualification issues. This was news to me but I checked anyway. I asked my guy at UofH (where Elliott was formerly committed) if Elliott's status was 'good, fair or poor'. He replied 'good'. He would know, so that's that. Aggies might want to worry about their running back commitment from the same area.

ATH Tyrell Alexander, Lancaster (Lancaster, TX) - 2016: You may remember the name. I'm a big fan of Alexander. He could play WR or CB in college. Coach Vaughn stopped by to let him know he's still on the radar and he's still being evaluated as a cornerback. Should an offer come his way we expect Texas to land him, if they don't wait obscenely long. That comes directly from someone at Lancaster. If Alexander is the backup plan, then you know they're in good position regardless. He's a baller. Holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Flat Top, Ok. St., etc.

LB David Reese, Farmington (Farmington, MI) - 2016: Wasn't able to catch up with Reese, though I texted with his dad. Interesting situation. Though he's committed to Michigan, the two sides may mutually split. Reese wants to early enroll and Michigan is pushing back. My lone problem with the offer is Texas has Demarco Boyd already committed and Dontavious Jackson on the hook. That's three Mikes and you only need one. Either Boyd or Reese could fit as a fullback.

DE Justin Madubuike, North (McKinney, TX) - 2016: I was asked if Texas is still pursuing the stellar defensive lineman. Yes, definitely. A&M is very confident on holding onto him at this point, per someone close to Aggie's DL coach. I'm not so sure. The Ags want him as a defensive tackle from what I gather. He's the perfect fit for SDE in Strong's scheme. I mean Jim Carrey pur-ur-urfect. I don't see how Texas loses this guy to A&M.

If the NCAA will not clear him for Texas, how can they clear him for the SEC! SEC! SEC!?

I'm very curious about this and I wish somebody would go into some detail. I wonder what "flagged" means. Did he not score high enough? That sounds different from "flagged". He should have been monitored sufficiently during the sign-in and test taking process since there was evidently some prior question about that.

Not that it really matters. If he can't come, he can't come, for what ever reason. Just curious.
