We just got power in our part of Klein late last night

looks like a little twister went through next to us-- neighbor had 2 ft diameter pine fall away from house and land in street--there is a straight line on 4 streets where trees had the tops twisted out and others fall over--my fence fell over on one side--lots of debris-- land line working-- no cell service

We have an electric stove and gas water heater

I have a 3 burner w/ a side burner

I need to buy a perk--I bought one from cabelas and my parents are still using it --no power either

Making coffee with a dripper top and boiling water still beats no coffee--better than Army sock coffee as well

I froze water in every bit of tupperware we owned THursday-- transferred fridge and freezer contents Friday 10 pm to 2 coolers--when power went out

Saturday morning--last package of deer sausage grilled
daughter wanted ramen-- burner works great

grilled some pre seasoned garlic texas toast-- that's good stuff-- land line down

Sunday -- hamburgers--saved cheese, mayo, jaapenos and pickles

made a cherry dump cake on grill-- daughter thought it was almost as good as when mom makes in in the oven

grilled some spanish mackeral -- cajun seasoning--some lemon juice-- wow--wife passed it up for peanutbutter--daughter chose grilled cheese--pondered if that's why they call it grilled

some little store was selling dry goods--found a Chronicle-- none of the neighbors had seen the pictures yet

Monday- HEB open-- bought salsa and bread--had 3 bags of chips in freezer-- got like 20 texts from everyone

had scrambled eggs and deer sausage for breakfast--thinking I should have looked for tortillas at HEB

grilled chicken for lunch

1 pm neighbor got home w/ generator and no gas--I gave him some and he gave me an extension cord and 3 packages of deer jalapeno/cheese summer sausage-- had crackers and 2 shiners left--made due--saw news for the first time

Monday night--daughter had her first Jiffy pop--thinks its better than microwave popcorn--built a fire in fire ring--roasted marshmellows--listened to radio

9 pm power comes on-- a roar of cheers heard throughout neighborhood

My dad is bringing the rest of his half thawed deer meat for me to grill then maybe freeze==HEB had marinade--I have plenty of balsamic and montreal steak seasoning-- shame there is not any bacon to be found--oh well---will make due

Glad to have the burner on the grill--I swapped out propane last month--but wasn't sure how much I had

Very nicely done.....

Pretty close to the same here, with the addition of scallops...
