Not going undefeated is fine. Losing your first game to a team that played awfully and whose best two players you shut down because you missed layups a sixth grader wouldn't miss and weren't able to make a five-foot pass to an unguarded teammate (or, you know, a freethrow) is entirely unacceptable.

We have a bunch of boys on our team and a couple of men. The men, Johnson and James, played like toddlers last game. It sickens me that Chapman is the only player (other than Doge) who came to play and he didn't even expect to get off the bench that game. It looks like finally, though, after having called for him to play over Wang all season so far, I may finally get my wish and Clint will see the playing time he deserves.

Of course, we weren't. It's amazing that we made it 17 games with this many freshman minutes without getting our first loss.

Conference road games are always tough. Just try and win all you home games and half on the road. Maybe 5-3. And, that's without a #1 emblazened across your chest. I'd be more critical of the Aggie game at home, then the KSU game on the road.

Even the best players (see Damian James) have an occassional off-game. God only knows where we would be without him. Bradley was due for a bad one himself. Pittman does need to man up. He's lost some confidence and rushing his shots again. Johnson needs to be first off the bench in the post. And, I'd like to see more of Clint.

But, I'm not worried. There's too much talent and Barnes is too good a coach.

I got nothing wrong with losing; understand the rationale of taking the pressure off. But...I like the idea of our team being #1 and playing with that big target on the back. Take on the pressure. Take on the competition.

Maybe that's too much to ask of a team playing with 3 Freshmen and a transfer, but that still would be cool to go a long time as #1.

Hook'em!!!

Bradley wasn't due for a bad game, he has been struggling mightily with his shot for the past month other than a couple of phenomenal games against Iowa State and Colorado (which is odd because he was automatic from anywhere on the court in those two games).

He seems to have a psychological thing going like many of Barnes' players have in the past, as does J'Covan. We really need him to start playing consistently, or you see what happens against Aggie, KSU, and even A&M Corpus Christie...
