while we all probably would have liked to see a crisper game, especially first half offense, i think there were some big time positives in the game. malcolm came out and ran hard, very encouraging to see. think best run of the day was when he got stuffed at scrimmage for what should have been no gain and then exploded forward for 5 yard gain. seemed to always lean forward and get positive yards which is pretty important.

Nov 7, 2009. that is the last time we had 500+ yards of total offense and help the opponent below 250. let's keep the mo going next week!

In furtherance of your point. The depth of the team, other than O Line and DT was impressive. Not just players on the roster, but guys who get real snaps in a still meangingful game. I also saw a very well conditioned team - no hands on hips. Adjustments were made and a clear strategy to win on a no big play defense and a strong 3rd and 4th quarter ground game with fresh backs was impressive.The offense was still relatively vanillla ( for Harsin NOT for Davis) and did not include much sophisticated passing screens etc. That was a very enjoyable game, errrr second half to watch. Congrats to the coaches and team. I come away from this Rice game much more optimistic than last year's....
