Port Aransas

Has anyone stayed at any of the places over in N. Padre (i.e. b/w Port A. and Corpus) rather than Port A./Mustang Island. It doesn't look like they have quite as nice accomodations, but how does the beach compare? Is it as nice? I assume it is a little more quiet?

the holiday inn sunspree is the only decent place that comes to mind. its down by the best part of the beach as well.link

the hotel is directly on the beach and is a 2 minute walk down to bob hall pier. good surfing and the whitest sand in the area. imo, this part of the island is a better beach, as long as you keep to the south of that hotel. there isnt as much going on here as there is up at port a/mustang island though.
