Port Aransas trip question

We decided last minute to go to Port Aransas for fathers day. The only problem is that its pretty booked up and about the only thing I can find is a house in "old town" kind of by all the restaurants and near the high school. We will have some 1 year old kids. Are there any issues with this? Is it going to be loud? Safe?

Perfectly safe. Not loud. Most of those people are residents.

If you aren't locked in already and haven't checked with Martha Dore already (she's about the only game in town), check outThe Link

I am the Sharky's dance champion. I was crowned when I bested the local meathead. He cried afterwards, lamenting over and over again "I'm 59 and 1! I never lost before." Well, you never met a guy like me before, either.

Later, when I was passed out in the car a cop caught my one friend taking a picture of the other vomiting into a dumpster. It was suggested we take a cab back to the condo.

lately weve gone the condo route - dunes, sandcastle, aransas princess, etc., but have you tried island retreat? its right on the beach, kind of old and in need of a financial injection, but its clean, quiet, and usually has rooms. did i mention its right on the beach?

Thanks for all the suggestions. We wanted a wknd rental and Dore had a 3 day min. We used Best coast rentals and got a 2 bdr house right on 11th fairly cheap. It's a little bit "dated" but I don't really care to pay for granite kitchen counter tops when at the beach.
