I've been challenged by some coworkers to try to make popovers. Supposedly it's hard? Seems easy to me, is there anything I should know? Tips?
 
Make sure the oven is hot enough and the muffin tins or 9 x 13 pan are hot. It has to have very hot oil in it. Put it in the oven and do not open the oven door. Opening the oven door prior to the cooking time will cause them to fall.

Do not make a loud noise in the kitchen either while they are cooking because it could make them fall too. The method of making popovers is basically the same as making Yorkshire pudding. You just pour the batter over the hot meat drippings rather than over butter or vegetable oil.

Most recipes call for the oven to be turn up to 450 for the first 10-20 minutes and then down to 350 for another 15-20 minutes. Do not open the oven door at this time no matter how tempted you are.
