I was on a secure site this afternoon and the following popup window opened up....

"...Do you want to accept certificate from web site "omlineservices.ubs.com for the prupose of excahnging encrypted information..."

Options provided were, yes, no and always.

Mozilla is my browser. Any idea what this is all about...? I closed out and headed over here for advice.

Certificates are how your machine and the other machine decide to encrypt communications over a secure connection.

Under tools->options->advanced, you can change settings for accepting certificates. Generally, it's ok to let the browser make most of the decisions for you. It will always ask you if the certificate is expired (probably not a bad thing, but always worth a check), or does not match the name of the site (probably a bad thing).

most likely it was ok. click yes and continue managing your money with the protection of SSL.
