Polls for week starting Dec. 3

Horns creep up one spot in AP poll, going from 13 to 12.

Other Big 12 teams: Baylor @ 3; OU flipflopped with Texas, slipping to 13 from 12; OSU is at 16 while Kansas is tied with UCLA at 17; ISU is at 22. WVU is at 26, dropping out after being ranked 25 last week.

That’s six ranked in the top 25 and one just out at 26.

Every team in the Big 12 has a winning record with five having perfect records, three with only one loss, and WVU at 4-2 and TCU at 3-2.

I reallly don't think we belong at 12, we are riding the Texas name (not even reputation of late, LOL!). We haven't had any real signature wins. The St. Johns win was not really that valid as they were playing without their top 2 players and they have now fallen out of the top 25. We will know a lot more about our team when we play UCLA and Tennessee. I'm hoping that both Chas and Cokie will be playing this weekend. It always makes me nervous to see a player take a blow to the head as they both did last Friday. I fear they won't be cleared to play by Saturday - of course I'm just speculating since I have no idea whether either of them were diagnosed with concussion or not.

Anyhoo, we will probably know a lot more about the team after the UCLA game
on Sat., if both Cokie and Chas play. If not, then it will be a while longer till we really have a bead on this team. Of course, I expect them to continue improving so no matter what happens in December, I think the team will be better by Jan.

Other Big 12 teams: Baylor (#3), OU (#12), OSU (#15), Kansas (#17), WVU (#23). ISU is just out of the top 25 at # 26.
FYI, UCLA is # 19.
