Better than I expected.

Funny that Texas fans, myself included, are in a state of shock/panic and our team is still planted firmly in the Top 25. Augie sure has set the bar high.

If we are going to do anything this season, it will start this weekend ... a lost series @ home to OSU would be the beginning of the end. I am cautiously optimistic after the showing yesterday and the article in the AAS.

Another thing to consider :

All 4 series that Texas has dropped this year have been to teams in the Top 15 of every poll ... Rice, Stanford, Mizzou, Nebraska. None of them sweeps.

You can look at that and say "we haven't beat anyone good in a series" ... but you can also say "we really don't have any bad losses", in terms of opponents, not score.

Many Top 10 teams have dropped series to some patsy along the way.

Still have series left vs ranked OSU and A&M.

Would y'all have us ranked in the top 25 if you were a voter? I try and pay attention to how other teams and conferences perform, but I must say that either everyone else isnt doing to well or we are getting ranked solely on our history, Augie, etc.

Aggy is a top 10 team right now. If we were to have played this past weekend, they'd have swept us.

Here's to hoping we rip off a 10 game winning streak!

When you look at the overall resume, this team has done nothing to warrant a top 25 ranking. The Big 12 series wins are over three of the four worst teams in the league and the only non-conference series win was VCU.

I think part of the reason is that other top 25 teams are struggling and dropping games too.

That's more of a true indicator of where both those teams are at. Just saying.

I do not think Texas is ranked in the Top 20 because of their play this year. I also feel UT must win the series against OSU.
