Polishing/Cutting stone or granite?

Anyone done it themselves?

The reason I ask is that I was told by a woman at one of the granite places was that most ofe cutting and polishing was done manually. Then I found some polishing, cutting and hole saw diamond tools on Ebay that were being bought up by granite folks and aqarium builders.

Anyhow I was thinking more of polishing some concrete slabs I was going to experiment with but hell I might just buy a small granit slab for the lavatory instead and experiment on it myself with these tools for about the same cost/effort.

So anyone worked on stone/granite/cement ina polishing/cutting capacity?

I use to be in the granite machinery business.

Here's a couple of companies you can contact for granite tooling. They have everything you will ever need to cut/polish granite.
The LinkThe Link

These are the two main stone tool companies in the industry. Gran quartz TX office is in Houston and Hard Rock Tools(stone tools direct) TX office is in Dallas.

Let me know if you need more info.(i couldn't get the live link to format correctly in this text box)
