Is there a website like a police blotter that tells you what calls were answered and where on a given night? This would be for Harris County sheriff or Pct 5 Constables.
I am just really curious - last night Lostboy#2 and I came home around 10:15 PM. As we turned onto our cul-de-sac I noticed several squad cars parked all down our street and crime scene tape across the street, just before getting to my house. I had a bad "ruh-roh" feeling. A sheriff stopped me and asked what I needed. Told him I needed to get in my driveway, which was on the other side of the crime scene tape. He told me I could just leave my car in front of a neighbor's house and walk to my house, they could not let me take my car past the tape. I asked what happened, he said they were recovering evidence in a car. Nothing wrong in my house - all happening out on the street. Ummmm, OK.
Go into my house, Losthubby is upstairs totally involved in Rainbow 6 Vagas 2, totally unaware of what was happening in our front yard, AND the front door was unlocked.
As the night progressed, I asked when I could pull my car in, the officer stated that they would knock on our door if we were still up when they finished, but it would be a while. Watched from an upstairs window for a while, they were taking photos, obviously testing stuff, because they had something like a crime lab truck there too. But never could the story of what happened from any of the officers. Went to bed a little after midnight.
Our subdivision is probably 90% cul-de-sac streets, and we have had a few "chases" with stolen cars, and usually the thief turns into one of them and is easily caught. But I never saw them taking a car apart like last night! I just want to know what happened! Plus the thought of chasing a criminal, and the possiblilty that he got out of the car and tried to run is really creeping me out, given the fact that Losthubby left the front door unlocked and anyone could have walked into the house and he would not know it!
Inquiring minds want to know! Anyone able to help?
