is there i better happy hour spot on thursdays in austin, tx??? i think not

5pm-7pm
$3 really big beers (that is enough right there for me)

all night thurs
$.40 cent wings ( i used my 5 free wing cards all the time)
$4 mexican martini

i am sure that there is more to it.

also, rick barnes and craig way are there from 7-8

Mmmmm...... ranch chicken wings.

I prefer Trudy's at Brodie Oaks for thursday happy hour though, but that's only because of the talent.

Pluckers is the **** on Thursday nights. I get hosed for 9 dollars and get 40 Cent wings. Also get to see Coach.

Wish scottsins wife would let him come out to watch a UT event. What a loser.

I go once every couple weeks. They took spicy garlic off of the menu but you can still ask for it and they'll make it for you. Great stuff. Sweet potato fries...

you have no idea how much you will miss pluckers once you move out of Austin.

I would destroy 3 baskets of fried pickles and 50 ranch wings right now

i think that it says something when i am not that big of a wing fan, and i would still rather go there than anywhere else...and i LOVE their wings

i thought the half price wings were on tuesdays? did they move that?

we used to go on tuesdays last year with the coupon and get 15 wings + drink for less than $5. good stuff.

i remember once when the manager refused to accept the coupon even though it wasnt 30 days from last football game. so we emailed the management and they offered to sent us a big gift certificate. manager got ownd.

any of you have your pics up on the wall? 25 fire is hard.
one of my friends is on the hall of shame.

we got a friend up there on the wall i flame...i have to get up there before i graduate

they have the $.40 wings when rick barnes is there

Aww crap. I totally forgot about the fried pickles. We get an order of those every time we go.

son of a *****, is this thread one big joke? i am by no means a hornfans snob, but pluckers sucks absolute dick. i suppose a $3 giant beer is a good deal, but their food sucks, it's more expensive than a meal at a real restaurant, it's impossible to find a seat in there on any given night, and your food takes an hour to come out.

in its defense--and in hopes of informing those who haven't been lately--i loved pluckers when i first got to UT in 2002. i probably ate there 3 nights a week when i lived in jester. however, since then, the food quality has gone down and the price has gone up astronomically.

there are much better happy hours than that, my friend.

i love me some trudy's but they possibly have the worst happy hour in austin... 50 cents off normal prices? Gee, thanks for the handout.

In its day, you couldn't beat a wingsteak with goldrush sauce. i weep for such sweet bliss that can never be relived.

koopa, you talking about the campus location or the 183 one? i try my best to stay away from the campus one. i dont know, the last 3 or 4 times i went to the pluckers on 183 i have had the best time and spent less than 10 dollars.

i go to trudys or el arroyos or baby as, i spend ~20dollars

I'm always amazed at the opinions of some of the postere here. As far as wings go, pluckers have the best in town easily. Yes it is expensive and they have risen prices but they are blowing up. They are making $ hand over feet there.

i bet both of you are drunk right now as you type.

i like pluckers but the ******* overcharged my credit card when i went there a few weeks back after the okie state game. oh well.

when is the rick barnes thing? i live right by the 183 location. guess i should go to that sometime.

Y'all make me feel old. I remember when Pluckers opened...Henry Gandorf was a bit of an artist back in the day, and drew some artwork on of their walls when they first opened. Good times.
