When you stop agreeing with DeLoss Dodds that up is down and black is white then you won't bother to expect what can't be done by coaches who have peaked.

Myck looked lost today. The team didn't show up for the second half at all and most of the 2nd part of the first half. Willfully demotivated, or just slacking off is what it appeared to me.

Why does Rick Barnes play the offensive weapons (McLellan and Lewis) so little? He is busy punishing MeLellan until he needs him for some points and then puts him in (grudgingly, it seems) to try to catch up. He waited too long tonight against KSU. Lewis showed a hot hand, and he didn't get to stay in long either. It seems like a power struggle -- Barnes is scapegoating McClellan, channeling his general frustrations at the team onto McLellan He seems deteremined to teach Sheldon a lesson, even at the expense of putting points of the board. What sense does it make to have Papi and Holland getting all those minutes, usually with little scoring Their defense is passable, but not stellar. The defense wasn't doing any good anyway,with KSU scoring every time they got the ball. WHy not try to retaliate with a scoring group of our own. I'm befuzzled. Myck Kobongo has some potential but, but other than speed and quickness, has not shown us anything great. I have not seen him orcehstrating great plays, getting people open. He seems to lack trust in his teammates who are, admittedly, just standing there and not making themselves appealing targets for a pass. He is going to drive inside, come hell or what water, and high water often comes. The announcers seemed surprised at his mediocrity, even saying he was hurting the offsense by not using screesns correctly. I"m not sure Felix is not just as good in a different way. He is slower, his handle isn't as good,but I think he sees the court better than Myck. If the NBA says Myck is an upcoing star, then power to them. I don't get it, but then I didn't get Avery Bradley or Corey Joseph either.
 
Rick Barnes, welcome to the win or else concept of accountability. Your record is what it is, and we need a NCAA tournament next year or you will cease being the second most over-paid employee of the University of Texas-Austin. I welcome your attempts. I will call Shaka Smart every day between now and next March.
 
No doubt that Barnes is a good recruiter, but we really need a coach that can do that and also teach the kids how to play basketball at both ends of the court.

Much of the time this team plays like they're at a rec center across town.
