He's supposedly coming back on the 18th, which is the last day of fall semester finals. Why play him against Texas State when we're bound to win anyhow?
Do you think the Chaminade game is the comparable one for Texas State? I'd say it's more like SHSU or UTA. Two teams we handled easily even with poor performances.
Chaminade was a flukey game. It happened. It's not indicative of the rest of the season. Hell, we could go 4-12 in conference at this rate, but the Chaminade game won't be the problem.
The NCAA has no obligation to make their decision coincide with the semester gap. They didn't do that for Mike Williams. They didn't do it for Jarrett Hicks.
The NCAA admitted no mistake or problem in the Hicks stuff. They "reinstated him after considering his appeal," meaning that he was officially suspended for the first three games of 2006 and came back for the 4th game. This wasn't a case of "oops guess you didn't do anything wrong."
