Places to stay around The Backyard

I am coming in from Houston for the Willie, Merle, Asleep at the Wheel, and Ray Price show in March. Any sugggestions for places to stay out in the Lakeway area or close to The Backyard? Thanks.

Vintage Villas Very charming and comfortable. Rates ~$119 and up

Mountain Star Lodge (I think this is the closest to the Backyard) Rates ~$99 and up. NOTE: they will only take phone reservations.

Lakeway Resort They just completed a $20 million+ renovation. We had a sales retreat out there last week and it was awesome. Rates ~$150 and up.

Hmmm, isn't that the SXSW music weekend? Good luck...

Not sure if they still do this, but as recently as 6 months ago if you went to the Vintage Villas website and registered they would send you an email coupon good for a free night.

It really is a nice place. It's not exactly close to the Backyard, but it's an easy drive up 620 past Lakeway.
