Places to eat in Omaha!

Runza! Trust me. Great hangover food.

I hear anthonys and the drover for steaks.

Can't remember the pizza place in the market square but it was pretty darn good.

Upstream brewery is very good from what I remember. Details are hazy on that one.

Also try House of sausage for tailgate supplies. It's a local meat market/grocery with many types of homemade sausage. Definitely worth dropping by to pick up some for the grill. They normally have some cooked and ready to eat at the store as well.
 
In 2009, we ate at the same place twice, Stokes. It's downtown and it's Southwestern Mexican food (not tex-mex). There are a few bars connected to it. We loved it. Good food and great margaritas.

M's Pub. This place was awesome, really great food. On the nicer side though, not a shorts and t-shirt type pub

Lo Sole Mio is a classic. You might even run into Augie a time or two there during the series.

5 Guys @ 74th & Dodge is neat. The food is good, but sitting at the window bar watching Omaha rush hour traffic is funny for folks from traffic-challenged places like Austin, Dallas or H Town..

Amarillo's BBQ in Bellevue closed last Feb, for those who remember it fondly. Was a sad day for us. Stella's, also in Bellevue, is another fun burger place. Traditional lunch spot for Offutt AFB folks since we moved here back in 1980.
