what is the best way to get rid of sweat stains on shirts? i have a few tshirts that have sweat stains. I also have a few that are even "hard" in the armpit area. any suggestions? my wife mentioned something about soaking the shirts in salt water? does that sound right? anymore?

I've actually used GooGone on a few shirts I have as well and it seemed to work. You soak it in GooGone and scrub some, then throw it in the washer. Give that a shot. The ones that are hard, throw away!

yeah they arent shirts i wear alot or to work or anything. just tshirts that i like and dont want to throw away. well, thanks for the advice...

yeah, i think its a mixture of the sweat and deodorant. i use "clear" gel, but it still seems to make the white marks occasionally. i dont know...i have 2 shirts that i really like to wear, but they are bit ruined. the other 4 or so are just "play" tshirts. no big deal.

The aluminum is in anti-persperant deodorant, not just the deodorant, I think.

I used to get them all the time. I stopped using anti-persperant and they have never come back. At first I seemed to sweat a lot more under my arms. But in a couple of weeks it died down and no problem now.

Given the health issues with anti-persperants and the cruddy stains, I don't know I would go back. No need to actually.

I've been using Tom's of Maine deodorants for about a year since I developed an allergy to anti-perspirants and the aluminum, etc. in them. All natural, non staining. Available at Walgreen's & CVS.

Mr. OI uses the Old Spice Deodorant (not anti-persperant) and doesn't get the stains either. It comes in a couple of scents, so if you don't like the original fragrance, you do have options.

OK, just because this thread had the word "pit" in it doesn't mean it's about BBQ Pit.

Move it back to the Depot??, which is (I assume) where it came from.
