) and I decided that each fall we would pick out some place to go where we've never been and see a college football game when we're there. In 2009 we went to Seattle and saw the Huskies play the Ducks in the UW stadium that has the great view of the lake with fans in boats coming to the game.

Last year I solicited Hornfans to weigh in on various options. And with your help we decided to go to Madison where we saw the Badgers beat the Gophers in the Battle of the Paul Bunyan Axe, the week before UW upset tOSU in Madison. (It was great watching that game on tv after having been in that environment just the week before.) Also with the suggestion of Hornfans we then traveled up to Door County WI to spend a really wonderful week in a part of the country we had never traveled.

So...where is it this year? We decided we needed to go to SEC country...especially before it gets tainted by the sheep humpers. We decided to go to Greenville, SC and see the Gamecocks take on those Florida Gators. Will see the Old Ball Coach, Marcus Lattimore, Stephen Garcia vs. Will Muschamp in his first season as a Head Coach. Should be very interesting game not to mention fun tailgating at Brice-Williams. Will also spend time in Charleston as we hear this is a great city for touring.

That's all I got.

Have fun at the game this year! Sounds like it could be a good one to see!
Charleston is a beautiful town and has all kinds of fun stuff to do!

I live in Western NC and you will only be about an hour south of the blue ridge parkway if you like to hike, outdoors etc. Brevard is pretty country with a number of waterfalls etc. I am not sure but they do close the parkway due to snow etc, but you should be okay in Nov. Asheville is a very quirky town (Biltmore Estate for example) and shouldn't be that far away.

Thanks. Love all the recommendations. Was watching ESPNU today and Dan Hawkins was asked (since it's On the Road Weekend, or whatever) where the toughest play to play was and he said South Carolina. Said the noise is deafening.
