SF Maya Moore (Minnesota Lynx)

F Breanna Stewart (University of Connecticut)
SG Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury)

Not sure about centers Candace Parker, Sylvia Fowles and Tina Charles. They're finishing their seasons up in China so they couldn't make it this past weekend - assume that's part of the reason Dolson is there.

Harder to pick 12 than I thought it would be:

1. PG Sue Bird
2. PG Courtney Vandersloot (time to get some younger PGs involved and Vandersloot really blossomed the past 2 seasons)
3. SG Diana Taurasi
4. SG Kayla McBride
5. SG Angel McCoughtry (I am not a fan of hers - never met a shot she didn't take - but she's a great defender)
6. G/F Elena Delle Donne
7. SF Maya Moore
8. F Tamika Catchings (still playing at a very high level)
9. F Breanna Stewart
10. PF Nnemkadi Ogwumike
11. C Brittney Griner
12. C Stefanie Dolson (while Dolson improved quite a bit in her second season, she's not 1 of the 4 best American centers - this could be the result of needing bodies and/or Geno being a big homer)

Only picked 2 PGs because Taurasi, McCoughtry and even Della Donne could run the point. A lot of versatility from 2-5. Thoughts? Or post your own team...

I do agree that we need to start working in new players. Vandersloot and EDD are good starts. No doubt that Stewart will be in on every Olympic team from here on out.

Does it help if Dolson's the first one out if Parker, Fowles or Charles...ugh...Charles is a husky too. Team USA is going to be less UCONN heavy after the Rio games - has to be Bird and Taurasi's last Olympics. That leaves Moore, Charles and Stewart moving forward, hopefully a Longhorn or two to replace them.

I will say, however, I will enjoy any team with Elena Delle Donne. She left UConn
