Photos from the Cinque Terre (Italy)

Well, since I griped about having our wine stolen on here on our flight home from Rome, i figured I'd share some good memories, too. Here are our photos from 5 days in the Cinque Terre in early March. I know I've seen some folks here ask about the area. Mrs. Grasshopper and I have enjoyed our visits there.

We can recommend places to stay there, too. We try to be frugal in our lodging, but we do like to have good views...and I'd be happy to share our experiences if anyone is thinking of going there.

Yes, I use photoshop (CS3). You pretty much have to do some sort of photoshop/manipulation with moon shots and long exposures. I also used HDR on some of these to bring out the colors.
- lot of fun to play with!

The camera is a 5D.

Thanks for the kind words. We love the Cinque Terre

Your photos rock. Plain and simple.

Photoshop has taken photography to another level of "art". It is now "That which is" and "That which we would like it to be". I'm a big fan.

Hey DC,

Hmmm... for a honeymoon? That would depend on your style... and when you'd go. Our rooms were pretty spartan - a bed and bathroom - clean of course - but nothing fancy by any means. I really don't know if there would be anything fancy there or not. Perhaps in Monterosso al Mare (the furthest town north), but it is more commercialized and has lost some of its quaintness (In my opinion). There are others here who would like it more. PM me and tell me what you are thinking and I'll give you more info (as best I can).

thanks, Mac. I'd love to get up to Alaska sometime and try my luck with your landscape. i work with a woman who lived in Anchorage for 15 years and really enjoyed her time there (for the most part)...

You're on your own with Alaska. We moved in May of last year to the Seattle area. Different set of picturesque items though.

My wife thinks we're going back when her assignment is done here. Ugh.

Dang, I need to get out more - or read more here.
I hear Seattle in pretty cool, too... Mrs. Grasshopper loves it.
Thanks for the good words.
