Does anyone nickel and dime you death more than AT&T and the govt taxes/fees on the phone bill?

18 cents for Touchtone service (does that mean I can opt back to rotary phones?)

BS charges that no one can explain to you, even if you call the company and try to find the answer.
Then you don't notice when they add some totally improper fee later, which is probably the real motivation for the other charges.

As a former AT&T service rep they don't tell us what these charges are for. What we are told is that are mandated by outside entities and are required for all land line companies. Don't call up the services reps and ***** at them for the fees. They really can't explain them. Being a service rep for AT&T sucks enough, leave 'em alone.
