Phil Pressey...How involved are we?

Was browsing through Scouts 2010 list and was reading up on him. I see that Scout shows us as the only team he has a high interest in but I was curious if anyone, SL perhaps, knew how involved we were with this kid?

If we arent involved with him what other PG's are we talking to? It seems to me that if you are a PG you'd want to be a part of that class which combines with 2009 considering our current roster after this year.

Texas is interested. Pressey is 5'8, but at 5'8 he's the best sub 6' point guard in the country. Apparently he's as close to TJ Ford good as someone can get, only a couple of inches shorter (which in basketball, matters, obviously, no matter how much some people like to pretend it doesn't).

There's also Mytch Kabongo, who is a Grassroots Canada AAU teammate of Tristan Thompson. Both of them were on campus in September, and Kabongo's visit went very well. He's class of 2011, and someone Texas would covet as a PG.

I'm not sure where Texas is with any other PGs.

Kabongo??? The name alone should merit scholly consideration.

Based on what I read and his height he did seem more like a distributor instead of a scoring PG. I think that with all the talent Barnes is bringing that he would rather have a distributor like DJ/TJ instead of someone who is going to look for his own shot before usiing the plethora of talent at Texas. Based on his interest in Texas he seems like a natural fit.

Can't say I know much about Tristans teammate but I'll look forward to his recruitment as well.
