Perry's future?

I read earlier, about Perry going to be with Newt(in spin room) at his next debate, and somewhere else I read that Rick has been away from Austin since his failed campaign. I wonder if Rick is campaigning for Veep, or some appointment?

I can sure hope!

please tell me that you "hope" because you want this ******* aggy retard the **** away from Texas.

If not, I am concerned for your well being.

Big article today in DMN how he hasn't been showing up for work since he withdrew from POTUS race. Not to mention all the money he stole from the State of Texas for his campaign. I think he should be impeached if that's a legal possibility in the State of Texas.

Hook'em!!!

I'm not sure what I'd rather see in Perry's future - Perry getting caught in a gay sex scandal and having to resign or Perry running for reelection in 2014 and (finally) getting defeated. Either one would be pretty good.

Well Perry still harbors Presidential ambitions. I think he could be presidential material -- if -- and I admit it's a big IF -- a safer verison of the drug they used in Planet of the Apes to make chimpanzees as smart as humans could move from science fiction to reality and he could be the human test for it.

Rick will try to get in on some VP action but wont get any traction. He will come back to Texas and win another election, showing that Texans are idiots. Pubs will sit back and say there is no better candidate and believe it once again, proving that we are in fact idiots.

I disagree on Perry, I think his POTUS run has damaged his brand tremendously with Texas voters. I would never say he was finished, but I don't think another run as Gov will be successful.

KBH would have been less embarrassing, but that was the only serious candidate that has run against Perry IMO. He's had quite a charmed life as Governor of Texas. The hardest thing he's had to do is raise the Horns up at one of our National Championship celebrations.

Geez, I forgot about Bill White. Maybe the state could have gotten a train that floods and nobody rides. Missed opportunity there.

Good for Santorum. Too bad we may never have a primary. It really sucks that Texas gets no voice in choosing our national candidates.

A friend of mine in Texas stated that Perry is a tool, but he stays out of the way of business. By letting businesses do what they want, Texas has prospered relative to other states. Is this a fair assessment? And yes, I realize that lack of regulation has consequences as well.

I'm hoping he follows his alma mater's lead and heads for some SEC state.

Maybe he could be a yell leader at Auburn. His crony politics and the Cam Newton purchase at Auburn would go nicely together.
