Performance Chip/Module for Chevy Truck

I'm wanting to buy an '02 Silverado with the 5.3L vortec. I want to add a chip or module to add some power and get rid of the governor. I'm not familiar with this too much. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've seen the JET ones, Stage 1 and 2. SLP has a programmer as well.

I don't know much about what's available for gassers, but see if Diablosport makes a Predator programmer for your truck. I've used them on my Powerstrokes and they work great. Very easy to install (and uninstall) and lots of power.

I went to their website, and they do have one for my truck. It had a note that said you must use Premium gas when using the Predator. Guess I'd have to save my pennies.

I can't find how much they cost though.

I believe just about all of the manufacturers of programmers/chips recommend using premium gas.

I used the JET on my '99 Suburban and couldn't tell any difference.
