We live in the 45th/Burnet area of town and have been looking for a few months; wondering if any Hornfans had any recs?

We have always used Dr. Jaime Ramirez. He's a great guy and very good with kids. His office is right next to Seton Hospital.

thanks; not sure if I should have specified since this is our first child, but it's for an infant. So much drama involved with this stuff!

I use Dr Elizabeth Knapp (ARC) for both of my children since they were newborns. The office is on the southwest corner of mopac and far west. She is a great doc and it is a good practice. I brought my 6 month old in for a cough, and she called to follow up a week later just to check in.

I could hardly be more pleased with our doc.

We use Dr. Lowrey in the same practice as Dr. Knapp (ARC Far West). He's awesome, and when we see a different doctor (after hours, Lowrey on vacation), we've liked everyone that we've seen.

We absolutely love Dr Wesley Glazner. He really takes the time to listen to you.

Plus you have to love a dr that has worn the same old pair of boots for the 10 years have seen him.

jimmyjazz is a disturbed individual. Basically a suburbanite now that he sold out and crossed 360 (you are out by jester, aren't you?)

Nah, if I remember correctly what HookEm told me, we're a bit south of you. (We're slightly northeast of the intersection of Mesa and Edwards Mountain).

If you're willing to drive out 2222, Hill Country Pediatrics (at the entrance to River Place) is fantastic. All three doctors are outstanding and they've gone way above and beyond a normal level of service for us.

They're also all women, which is a nice bonus if you have girls.

We see Dr. Terwelp, and he's terrific. So is his associate, Dr. Jones.

Does anyone else using some of the recommended doctors have United Healthcare? They've made some recently with their payment policies, and the result is that those of us with UHC now have very limited choices for pediatricians.

if you insurance policy covers Austin Regional Clinic (ARC), I would suggest getting a list from them and going to see as many as possible. i know it sounds stupid, but Doc should be someone you feel comfortable with. We started with one Doc, but after going to several unscheduled/emergency visits, we switched to a different Doc within ARC, we liked her better and felt more comfortable with her methods and treatment of Baby H and us. Plus ARC has weekend emergency services at Far West, rather than going to a doc-in-a-box.

Darn, we have Terwelp for 8 years and never knew that he played Linebacker for 69 team
Terwelp, Dan LB 6-3 192 So-Fn San Antonio (MacArthur)
192 lbs won't do much nowadays especially you have to block that fat *** from A&M.

I would recommend him too.
