Peanut butter on steak

A friend in law school said he'd spent time in Argentina and had a steak with some kind of peanut butter sauce on it. He said it was the best thing he'd ever eaten.

Anybody ever heard of it?

Not sure I would even try it, just wondered if anyone had seen such a thing. Notice I didn't say anything about eating it.

OTOH, we have enjoyed an Indonesian peanut-based (Satay kinda) sauce for 30 years on marinated grilled pork steaks. It's a hell of a lot of trouble, but then Mrs Idahorn2 does everything but grill the meat: I am in charge of the meat up here.

Now, a pat of butter on TOP of a steak, that's notso bad from T2T.
